Creative and Expressive Artist Support & Coaching
What is this?
Are you an arts professional who’d value space and time to talk? Who’d like to explore an issue or a project with a supportive, critical listener from an arts/creative background?
Artists draw deeply on themselves in their work. I offer conversational space to support artists of all genres, bringing together my lived experience in the arts, my knowledge of issues around both the inner and outer life of creative/expressive professionals, and my curiosity in human beings.
Dedicated, focussed conversation time can help:
· Protect time, preventing your creative self from being crowded out by the everyday
· Enhance self-awareness, self-care and develop more sustainable working processes
· Explore where your inner life meets your work
· Develop more authentic practice
· Help you connect more to yourself, your work and others
· Connect you to the value your work
· Support you while navigating professional/personal change
· Uncover who you are and what matters for you
· Enhance creative/expressive aliveness through conversation
I’m not really a coach who creates step-by-step action plans. I don’t promise neat solutions to complex issues (though sometimes some pop up!). I can promise to respect you and your work, and to build a dialogue with you in which we create the listening space you need – whether that’s space to take stock; come to terms; explore change and confusion; test emerging ideas; or protect your creative self from disappearing by designating time to connect with that part of you.

PRACTICALITIES
Sessions take place on Zoom. I offer a free 20-30 minute appointment before starting, to discuss what you’d like to bring and check we’re comfortable with each other.
After this, sessions are £45 an hour.
You are welcome to open any subject matter, personal or professional, you feel may be relevant in our conversations. However, these sessions are not counselling or psychotherapy. Please consider whether you will need extra support, if you think you need to talk about personally difficult subject matter. We can always discuss together how to ensure there are safety nets around you, in advance of opening difficult topics, or if you realise you need this as our sessions develop.
